In this video, I discuss my recent visit to Ayodhya where I found locals crestfallen and angry, pilgrims demoralised and anxious, and rebel politicians outraged over the alleged theft of funds meant for the Ram temple.


Most striking was the apparent impunity with which those now in judicial custody over the alleged misappropriation of temple donations spent sums vastly disproportionate to their known sources of income

Two questions come to the fore now: Should the Ram temple Trust be brought under the ambit of RTI? And how viable is “believers” controlling temples without government oversight?
